This delightful mix of fennel seeds and other plant-based ingredients has been cherished across South Asia for centuries for its ability to freshen breath, improve oral health, and aid digestion. It is known in India as Saunf or Mukhwaas. But unlike other fennel seed mixes, Chikka Chikka has no refined sugar, no added colors, and no artificial flavors. Just simple ingredients, roasted with a touch of pure maple syrup.

About Us

Much to our parents’ chagrin, we have defied what is expected of children of south Asian immigrants. We tried to stay on a straight path. We really did. We got advanced degrees. We got normal jobs. But then we got married in 2016 and collectively took a sharp left turn. Together. We were looking for a house, but then ‘accidentally’ bought an abandoned biker bar and transformed it into an award-winning and well-loved restaurant and community gathering place. We sold that business to an aspiring Michelin star chef, and now we think that anything is possible.

Guided by a gentle blend of delusion, love, laughter, and fondness for stuff from the old country, we have created Chikka Chikka. Because, why not. -Arif & Sabeen
